The true story behind my re-introduction to henna.

In 2024, I struggled with a few mental health issues that left me with visible scars. This was a newer experience for me, and I was determined to prevent further harm. I was not prepared for a permanent tattoo on my forearm, but I wanted a reminder to care for my body, and a method of concealing personal information.

 

I scheduled an appointment with a prominent CO artist named Leah Redell. She was very empathetic and covered my arm in beautiful peonies. Following my appointment with her, I reached out again for a class in the history, mixing, and techniques of the natural body art.
